Getting to Know Your Objectives
In a Google Doc, take 2-column notes over the I can statements listed above while reading this part of your textbook. Turn them in to the assignment in Google Classroom titled, "Objective #2 Two-Column Notes - Climate" when you're finished.
Objective #2 Activities
1. Review your notes for Objective #2a. Then, without bringing anything with you, come and tell Mrs. E the difference between weather and climate. She will then score your answer and tell you what needs to be fixed. If anything needs to be fixed, you will fix it and come up to Mrs. E and try again until you're at a level 9. If Mrs. E is busy, MOVE ON TO THE NEXT STEP until she's available.
2. In Google Classroom, find the assignment titled "Factors that affect climate chart" and fill it in, turning it in when you're finished. Check your answers when you're done by clicking here (link to the answers will be live after everyone gets to this step!).
3. Underneath the chart you filled out in #2, choose which factor in the chart is most important factor in determining an area's climate, and explain why it's important. Then come up and show it to Mrs. E, who will give you feedback on your answer. If you need to fix it, go fix it and then show it to Mrs. E again!
4. Do the following, using the chart you filled out in number 3 to help you:
a. Make a children's pop-up book about the five factors that affect climate. Your book needs to contain:
Materials are on the center lab island for you to use. You will be given a lab score in the gradebook for how well you show that you understand how EACH factor affects climate and on Objective #2c. Turn in your book when you're finished.
5. Take the Objective #2 Progress Check in Juno after you have done steps #1-4 above.
